Lisa and I have been close friends since we were 13. I guess you could say our friendship started in the early hours of the school day, thanks to our father’s early work schedules. We would sit on the port racks and discuss the deep teenage topics of boys, teachers, family and homework until the rest of our friends would slowly start to arrive. Fast forward 12 years and Lisa and her fiancé Shawn have not only asked me to attend their intimate wedding in the Barossa Valley, but to capture their day as well. I didn’t realise what an honour this was until I was there. To watch a beautiful, darling friend walk down the aisle is an overwhelming experience for most. But when you’ve got the job to capture all the emotion and moments of the entire day, it just made me appreciate it all the more. For me, this weekend away was just an unforgettable experience. Congratulations Lisa and Shawn.
And Lisa… thank you for being such a wonderful friend.
